Friday Lighting
Notch Pendant by Superequipe
A beautiful pendant that casts amazing light by transitioning a solid material into a slotted or “notched” reveal of the light inside. Stunning.
Monday: Modern In Nature
Stacked Cabin by Johnsen Schmaling Architects
Another modern retreat from JSA, this time in the remote woods of Muscoda, WI. Built into the sloping hillside it was kept to a compact size for budget reasons. Total size: 880 sq ft.
Camouflage House by Johnsen Schmaling Architects
A stunning lake house set in the woods of Green Lake, Wisconsin
I had blogged about the patterned wall I was going to create for our nursery last week, and here is the progress. I’m about 60% done and it is looking awesome! (I’m in the photo for size reference)
Water Map sink by Julia Kononenko
A concept sink or art installation using the streets of London.
Diamonds by JSPR
Industrial meets elegance in a wire pendant available in gold or black.
Log Pattern
I created this pattern for the feature wall of our nursery. Pretty happy with how it turned out. This is the full wall: 8’ tall and 10’ 10” wide so it will really be a big graphic pattern. Cool gray 3c wall with white hand painted logs (outlining them with a stencil first).
Canvas Chair by YOY (yo-ee)
Needs no description. This is mind bending. Absolutely awesome.
Third Wave coffee by Tony Hobba Architects
A simple but stunning structure on the Melbourne coast of Australia clad in rusty steel panels to mimic a sea wall barrier.
Sempé w103s6p by Inga Sempé for Wästberg
I’ve always loved the typical industrial pendants you see in factories and this reminds me a little of that. But I like the combination of multiple colors of shades on a thin track laid out in a hexagon.
